Challenge

A homeowner in Fredericksburg, VA had a wet basement every time it rained or snowed. He had a walk up basement and the drain at the bottom of the stairs would get blocked with debris and water would come pouring into the house through the basement door.

Solution

To keep this homeowner's basement dry, 3 Pros Basement Systems installed a Trench Drain system in front of the basement door to catch the water and direct it to the existing sump pump. A new WaterGuard system was installed around the rest of the basement perimeter for water entering between the slab and block walls. During the excavation of the slab, water started to pour into the front side of the home. The homeowner and 3 Pros both agreed that an additional Basement Systems Super Sump Pump would be necessary.

Now this homeowner can rest assured that the basement will stay dry in all weather.

This home in Fredericksburg, VA needed basement waterproofing.

This homeowner's basement got wet every time it rained.

At the walk up basement door, a TrenchDrain was installed to catch water from the clogged exterior drain.

Clean Space was installed along the wall to trap and re-direct any water that came through the blocks to the sump pump and out of the house.

A TrenchDrain and WaterGuard system were installed along the perimeter of the basement to the sump pumps.

WaterGuard is tied to the existing sump pump to remove water from the house.

When the Comfenergy team started to jackhammer the perimeter, water came rushing in so we installed a Basement Systems Super Sump Plus.

Concrete was used to resurface the floor.

Water coming out of the sump pump discharge line and away from the house, keeping the basement nice and dry. The pipe will get buried when the ground has thawed in the Spring.
